The short answer is no—high quality whiteboard markers are engineered not to fade fast. Yet ghosting still happens, and understanding why helps you protect your investment.
To begin with, the ink itself matters. good brands use alcohol-based, low-odor pigment suspensions that bond lightly to the board’s non-porous surface. Because these particles sit on top rather than seep in, they can be erased cleanly before oxidation and UV light have time to break them down.
